DTC and Maitenance

3Dtracking’s platform includes a basket of vehicle maintenance features.

These characteristics aid fleet managers in their efforts to improve fleet efficiency, extend vehicle lifespan, and ultimately save money. They are part of a range of fleet management tools that also include tracking, monitoring, driver behavior scoring, fuel management, scheduling, route optimization, and CanBUS integration.

The MQUAD journal function serves as a digital repository, allowing users to systematically organize and store information related to fleet management. Similar to creating a paper-based file for a fleet incident, the journal entry feature provides a convenient and easily accessible space to store all relevant documents, such as images, reports, and documents, named according to the company’s naming convention.

Setting up a form is simple, and users can create an unlimited number of journals without any restrictions. Additionally, the data is secure, and MQUAD offers unique unlimited history access, enabling retrieval of data from any historical date.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) feature

The DTC feature in MQUAD offers fleet managers immediate insight into their vehicles’ health. Previously, reliance on drivers to communicate warnings to managers increased the risk of unattended vehicle issues.

When a vehicle’s on-board diagnostics system (CANbus) detects a problem, it generates DTCs, which are then displayed through a warning light or another indicator on the vehicle’s instrument panel.

This integration provides fleet managers with immediate business value by enabling:

1. Proactive maintenance and scheduling
2. Prevention of potential accidents, such as warning of brake failures
3. Tracking ongoing vehicle issues

3Dtracking’s platform receives the DTC warnings from vehicles, displaying them in real-time on the unit information panel. Each unique warning code remains active until it is addressed. Additionally, users can receive real-time alerts via email and SMS when DTC warnings are received and access a detailed report providing a full history of all reported DTC warning messages.

Custom Forms

Custom forms, also known as Action Lists on the MQUAD platform, are customizable forms that can be tailored for a vehicle (such as a vehicle assessment form) or for an alert. Users have the flexibility to create multiple forms that are entirely customizable.

For the Alert Action List, users can specify particular actions to be carried out when a specific alert is triggered. This promotes uniformity in vehicle management practices.

3Dtracking’s action lists are straightforward to create and use, and you can learn more about them in this brief video.
